February Newsletter

Hello friends!

2025 has launched and we are super excited for the year ahead in Landcare.

Our group is looking forward to continuing to actively engage with the three towns, Dunedoo Coolah and Mendooran, along with neighboring towns and the smaller communities that surround us.

We have been back into the swing of business, planning the many exciting events and workshops we will be rolling out over the coming months. You may have also noticed we have changed our name from Dunedoo Coolah Landcare to Three Rivers Landcare. This decision was strongly agreed on, to be more inclusive, and to highlight our passion and the importance of the riparian river systems to which these communities are built alongside. Talbragar, Coolaburragundi and Castlereagh Rivers.

Following a successful AGM in November, we would like to welcome our new Chair Annie Capare and President David Seis, and thank all of the wonderful people that continue to support and make up our
Committee. A big shout out to all of our Volunteers, we couldn’t do what we do without you, thank you! We are always seeking new skill sets and fresh minds to initiate and drive the projects we engage in. If you think
you may have something you can offer, please join us.

February has been a busy month, we have attended REZ community consultations to which we encourage everyone to proactively engage and speak up while decisions are being made.

Sally Dent and I attended the Landcare Regional Community of Practice Meeting in Parkes, an informative and fun day of networking with the other Landcare groups in our region.

Scheduled meeting with our friends at Mudgee Watershed Landcare to discuss projects and possible future
collaborations.

Event planning for our up-and-coming workshops… Herbal Remedies, Climate Smart Gardening, Dunedoo Carp
Muster in conjunction with Made n’grown Markets, and the Dunedoo and Mendooran Shows, to name a few over the next two months.

We have also been focused on the creation of our new Landcare web site. Running a little behind promise, but looking to launch in March. Here you will be able to keep up to date with all of our events, photos and
community communications as well as online Memberships. In the meantime, don’t forget to follow us on Facebook for regular updates.

As summer comes to a close, we look forward to moving into the cooler Autumn months with passionate, wholesome Landcare momentum.
